At night, the volcano remained clear, allowing to observe gas and steam emissions with a low content of ash that reached a height of 1.000 meters above the crater, in southwest direction. At the moment, the volcano is cloudy and no rains are reported in the area. The seismicity shows a slight decrease; however, it indicates movement of magma and fluids inside the volcano.

The Ministry of Tourism visited affected areas with staff of the Secretary of Risk Management, Geophysical Institute and Municipality of Mejia.

Establishments operating from 06:00 to 17:00: Los Mortiños, 4 volcanes Restaurant, Chilcabamba and Mauca Pedregal.

The Ministry of Environment authorizes Tambopaxi, located within the Cotopaxi National Park, remains closed as a precaution.
